You know, I never really got the hate for Navi. Sure she's pretty redundant, but I think a lot of people tend to over exaggerate how much she pokes Link. I like her voice too.

As for Tingle... eh. Man makes me wastes so much damn rupees decoding maps in Wind Waker, I think I have a right to be a bit bitter about him. >:(

On the topic of traveling companions, I did like Navi but I can see how she is annoying. Every so often when you're traversing the land and she reminds you that you need to stop focusing on sidequests is a little annoying... but if you're a stupid kid like me and you have no idea where to go and you don't want to use a guide her advice is pretty helpful since it gives you an idea where to go without revealing everything. At the same time, there are also points where she says stuff that should be pretty obvious (i.e. the falling ceiling in the Forest Temple). My brother's friend kept telling her to shut up every time she goes, "HEY!"

I don't know about Tatl since I never played Majora's Mask, but my brother told me she was a bitch and judging by her dialogue I agree. It's justified since she really didn't want to go with Link in the first place and my brother thinks her being a jerk is hilarious.

I never really liked Midna to be honest. She was such a jerk to Link in the beginning that she never really grew on me when she became nicer... plus she would never give me advice when I tried to talk to her, so she was basically no help to me at all.

Fi in Skyward Sword... if you ever read my gameplay logs you can tell I obviously do not like her at all. If you hated Navi you will definitely not like her because she takes the tl;dr explanations up to eleven and sometimes they don't help me at all. She always pops up and gives stupid statistics and hrnngh shut upppp. The shipyard was her worst because it was basically like,
SPOILERSPOILER_SHOW
"The ship should be here... oh... j-just kidding!!"
And the constant, "Master, the batteries in your Wii-mote are nearly depleted" message I keep getting was SOOOOOOOO ANNOYING. I'll admit I felt sad at the ending but when I think about all the BS she put me through I don't feel as upset.

The three days thing was pretty unique and it actually got me to planning out what I wanted to do and accomplish in each cycle. I ended up getting more immersed that way when I had to plan further what to do and what masks to get that would make certain things easier. It's a lot of fun and it's somewhat tedious but I really, really love the immersion I have from this game. I'm quite a ways in as well! It's a little more difficult than any Zelda game I've played but it's still quite enjoyable.

I feel like the weird one. I absolutely love both Navi and Tatl. I also love Midna. <3

Tatl is a much better improvement over Navi because she does have more personality (Midna takes the next step of course). Like you said, she's justified in her rage because she's really worried about her brother, and after the first stage, she pretty much cools down a bit, and even apologizes to him. I think the developers might have wanted her to be a tsundere. My favorite moment is when she calls Link out for being insensitive by trying to talk to

@Eden I completely agree! I actually love the 3 Day Cycle and it made you carefully schedule how you want to accomplish goals rather than just do whatever. Unlike the other games where it's more of a "take you time" approach, you actually have to fret that you might fail these people if you waste enough time.

Navi is still my favorite partner. I find her to be oddly adorable. She's my overall second fav character after Link. The third is Epona.

If we're talking about favorite characters now, mine have to be: Darunia, Makar, Midna, and Link of course. I also kind of like Groose, I think he's hysterical and probably has the best character development in the game. |D;

I've never really had any characters who are my favorites; it's more like I'm more vocal about the ones that actually get on my nerves.

I do like the Kikwi and the Gorons though. Kikwis are so adorable omfg.

I wasn't trying to start any Tingle hate or anything. He just creeps me out and steals force gems and rupees from me which greatly upsets me. The fairy companions tend to get on my nerves (Navi and Tatl mostly) only because I'm trying to deliver eye drops and Navi is like "HEY LISTEN!" Then from what I remember Tatl acted like she was better than me. It's been like 10 or so years since I played Majora's Mask, so I don't clearly remember but that's how my brain remembers it. And so far I don't really mind Midna but I haven't completed Twilight Princess.

I like Link, Gerudos, golden goddess/oracles and Makar (when he plays his little violin, it's super cute). I can't remember what his race is called! Also Epona is awesome. The Gorons and Zoras are pretty cool too. Also Deku Link is adorable.

Makar is a Korok. :3 And is super adorable. I get warm fuzzies when he plays his little violin.
