(note to mods: feel free to move this topic if it fits better somewhere else ^_^;)
Recently, when I've tried to use FileZilla with my domain, it gets "stuck" somewhere in the connecting process, and the attempt ends up timing out. I've been using FileZilla for many years and have never seen this problem before.
Googling the problem has resulted in little help for my non-techy brain. I was wondering if maybe FileZilla updated some setting and my server is just wigging out about it? Anybody else experiencing this?
FileZilla Randomly Quit Connecting to My Domain?
Re: FileZilla Randomly Quit Connecting to My Domain?
Sounds like a server issue.

Most likely a server issue, yes.

OK :) Do I need to dig into settings on my hosting space on my own, or is this something I'd need to contact my host about? (Just don't want to muck around and end up screwing up the whole site xD)

I checked around on SurpassHosting's support forums and a lot of people are reporting this issue, but so far I don't really see a "fix" for it. Seems to have been going on since late January (which seems right). I guess I just make a support ticket and hope for the best? :/

I guess so! I hope they fix it soon.

Me too, 'cause uploading a bunch of site files 1 at a time through the cPanel uploader = blehrrrggg.

That's strange, usually they're really good with fixing issues. One of my friend's was with them and she hosted me before I bought mine with Dreamhost.
I hope it's fixed but if it's not, may be good to look for a new one. Bluehost is what my instructors recommend to us a lot.

Yeah, hopefully I don't have to switch hosts. I've been with SurpassHosting almost 12 years and have never had really any issues; I've been there so long my supa-cheap hosting plan is now called a "Legacy" plan xD
Their helpdesk appears to be down right now--it's really weird. Going to hop over to the forums or get on the email horn and see what's up. :/
