The fanfics themselves can be very different in terms on the actual plot, though those have become less common with archives being all over. I'm back to that same point that came out earlier (in another topic was it?) about how I've lost interest in shrines because media was what got me into it (fanfics and fanart especially) and I usually go to archives for that now. Perhaps these are more so the standards of the past. I guess I just can't see informational sites as being all that great because if I just watch/play I'll figure that out for myself. Though I can acknowledge the dedication, time, effort and writing talent of the webmasters... which is why my sites are still online, actually, to connect with other web-designers mainly.
