Re: "Tools" and ways to make your shrines?

I just got my approval over on TFL to run the fanlisting for the 'Friends' Thanksgiving-themed episodes. So, I'm working on that. I'll be going at least semi-shrine with it. ;-) I absolutely adore the Thanksgiving episodes and am excited about it. And, as mentioned ad nauseum, I'm building an Adrien...

Re: "Shrining for Newbies"

Thank you so much for doing this. I'm building what is officially my first shrine (I've run fansites before) and it can be a bit intimidating at times. This information is so helpful and encouraging. I truly appreciate it. :)

Re: Text/background colors?

Dark text on light background and BIG FONT hurray. Yeah, I'm definitely going large for my shrine content. There's no way to make the reading enjoyable without some size and contrast. :-) Aaah, you understand my pain! (I have very bad eyes). Indeed I do. If I can't read my own writing after...

Re: literally in tears

I know these feels!! *HUGS* What language are you coding in? I know in PHP the include code format is <?php include('include.php'); ?> but I don't know about any others :/ Sounds like one of your files isn't including correctly, in any case. Is there a comma where there's supposed to be a semicolon...

Re: literally in tears

Can you paste your code(s) here? Or if you can provide a zip file of sample files including your includes, that'd be helpful too. ^^ OMG! It just started working! I had been trying to include the style sheet as part of the .txt file. Once I put it in its own .css file, then referenced it in the .tx...

RESOLVED: literally in tears

So... I finally got my shrine layout looking exactly how I wanted it. It was working fine... Then, I go to split the coding into text files for the old <!--#include trick. Guess what? It isn't working right. The odd part is the colors are right, the size and centering is right... fonts are wrong and...
