@Camy Ah! CSS3 is great!! But sucks for people who use IE because a lot of the cool effects don't work on anything less than IE9, which sucks if you're in a professional environment because most older people still use it and haven't migrated to Mozilla or Chrome yet.

@Vii You can do anything as long as you have that goal! Just keep working towards it and know there's always room to learn, and you can achieve anything~

I totally feel you on the designer alto ego/"embarrassed my shrines IRL" thing. xD Even though I'm in the UI field professionally as well, I don't show off my shrines to anyone at work haha. My love for webdesign also stems from my experience building/designing sites growing up though, it's seriously a great feeling to turn something I love into my work--I'm sure you understand. :3

IE sucks anyway. All of my instructors hate that devil browser D< Anyway, it depends on what client you get and what the main focus is. If it's gaming, pfft, you go for it. If it's knitting or hunting, then they'll definitely have IE (or even Netscape, oh god!).

Haha, our "introduction" to shrining/web designing is the same! I learned HTML and to use Photoshop because I got inspired by other people's awesome sites! :D
