Aw, I love & miss FFXIV! :sad: I actually have a level 50 White Mage, but I fell out of the game due to a fall out with some friends & also because after my hard drive crashed, my Macbook is no longer bootcamped. :( It's amazing though isn't it? When I was into the game I was literally on it 24/7, probably why I slowed down so much on sitely things... xD;

I'm pretty much 100% League of Legends right now because I play with friends on an almost daily basis, although I do play a lot of Animal Crossing & 3DS games! :D I'm really, really close to finishing A Link Between Worlds, really love the nostalgic & fresh feeling of the game. :heart:

Aku & Saya: You both make me wanna play it, Final Fantasy XIV.

I think Symphonia has been jamming my right index figure. But Snow and I are still playing it. I wonder if we can finish it before our Atelier game comes out.

Recently started Disagaea 3. Strategy games are not my thing so I'm mostly focusing on the plot. Laharl and Flonne are still my favs, but Mao and Almaz are awesome too.

@Aku I'm with the ps3, right now I have problems with my main character Gladiator20/conjurer8 - because I need to learn tanking, and I'm so bad at it, and I don't have anyone to help me, because the friend I play my second character (Arcanists16 - will use thaumaturge as second class there) has never tanked and can't help me, aside I have Aster on a different server from Saya anyway ç_ç - but not looking at the dungeons are the torn in my hip - and I don't want to leave Aster because I love him, and I want to take him to lvl50 as gladiator and as conjurer

@Cherri - you should, it's really nice, but don't go with the tanking character, go with the suporters

@Mikari: Awesome. Do I get to burn things?

@Todd: Good job! I'll send my data today to help out.

@Saya: I'm thinking about it. I'll have to look into it more.

Still playing Symphonia.

Talking to you is making me miss playing! XD

I don't have any experience with tanking unfortunately, but having played a white mage I worked pretty closely with a few tanks! Tanking is a hard job, the whole party relies on you to manage the enemy aggression and to position those enemies for them. Ideally, you are using your skills as a tank to take all the aggression from the enemies, so that your DPS (black mage, pugilist, bard, etc) can attack/kill those enemies without taking damage. Your healer's job is to heal you so that you stay alive while taking all the hits.

I don't know mechanically how tanking works, but ideally as a Gladiator I believe you generally want to pull mobs with Shield Lob, Flash as to establish aggro on the entire mob, and then rotate through your skills to make sure that you keep up enmity on all the enemies. Tagging the mobs with 1, 2, 3 will help your party know in what order to attack enemies. (Generally, the DPS should be attacking the tank's target.)

Also be aware that it's sometimes not just you, but your party members. Your DPS and healer should be managing their aggression as well, so looking at this UI guide or this post w/tanking tips might be helpful to understand how tanking works & how your party can help you be a better tank. :)

@Aku - the main problem actually is getting decent people when doing the duty roll. Unfortunately I got some idiots. But I have an awesome FC that are willing to help. In theory I understand how tank works - but I need practice, and if you get yelled at when trying, it's not helpful, and I know it's always tanks or healers fault LOL; because of that even if I die because healer wasn't really fast enough, I tell them it's ok that I'm a bad tank anyway and learning how to do it.

Ok aside FF14 - I'm going on with Assassin Creed and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. Love both games to death.
