About Old School

From February 2015 to August 2015, we are challenging members to create sites to subjects that debuted in the 20th Century! Grab your walkman, unpack your SNES, drag out your vintage comics, and dust off those VHS tapes.

Re: About Old School

I have a question about my shrine for this event: My site is also a fanlisting that I am adopting from Saya. ♥♥♥ But I wanted to know if it is acceptable to have a shrine + fanlisting for this event? I know in the past we had events where it had to be a shrine and the fanlisting could be added later but I wanted to double check. (If that's not acceptable I will change my topic back but not sure if I would be able to finish it in time.)

Thank you!

I'm not sure if anything like that has been used recently, but mainly just because I've opened shrine/fanlistings for challenges in the past (and am currently doing that for my Old School shrine too) and no one has said anything about it. I would allow it personally but I may have to ask.

Thanks, Crystal! I'll keep working on it until I hear otherwise, then. ;P

(Maybe I was getting confused with something else?)

No problem Destinie!

I'm not sure. I know it was like that before challenges came around but I haven't heard it still being used for challenges.

I also want to double check my possible sign up (although I think Cherri's question also applies to mine, it can't hurt to be sure). I'm shrining a character from Final Fantasy IV, but I'm using the recent Steam port of the game as my reference - because it's convenient - which itself is a port of the DS version, which is different graphically to the original game. Which I have obviously played but don't actually own anymore. The character herself is basically the same. Is that okay?

I think if they're the same it should be okay. As long as there is some reference to the original game it is allowed.

Can it a shrine for an item from an older series? Like I wanted to do a site dedicated to Clow Cards from Card Captor Sakura - would something like that be acceptable? :3
