I'm afraid I'm not much of a Watase fan. I find her portrayal of women to be extremely problematic. I know she's improved on this to an extent in Genbu Kaiden, but there's just something about the way she writes her women that really rubs me up the wrong way. Loved the mythology in Ayashi no Ceres (I still own it and Zettai Kareshi), but everything else about it just blaaaarghflarghrage.

Under Megan's suggestion, I read Imadoki! in one sitting. It was okay, though it didn't make that much of an impression on me. I will say it's the best I've seen out of the other works I read out of Watase, though. :) Charming and not over-the-top.

I wish there was an anime about it, I'm not much into manga these days. Manga doesn't hold me interest like it used to, I need the pretty colors, voices and the ability to multitask while I watch/listen. D:

Yeah, I actually wish there was an anime for Zettai Kareshi and an anime for Imadoki! as well, those two would look so cute in anime-form. :(
please know that i am yours to keep, my beautiful girl.

I enjoyed the Zettai Kareshi live action series. I had to watch it with subs, which is something I rarely endure, but I liked it enough to watch the whole thing plus the bonus special episode. I didn't like the ending, but that does for the manga as well, which was very similar.

Mikari- Where were you able to see the live-action series? I found it on a website several years back and it wasn't very reliable. (lol) So I'd like to give it another try.

I saw it a few years ago and don't remember the site. It was a place with lots of J-dramas... I don't think it was this one but it's an option.

I had forgotten about that! I might give it a try... but why the DX?

Zettai Kareshi has been the only drama I've seen so far.

Haha! I feel that the quirkiness of the anime doesn't translate as well into a live-action format. It's a little more limited. And some of the effects (Like Honey shrinking in mid air as he jumped onto Haruhi, for example) were a little too surreal for me. Maybe I will try again, though.
