Welcome, Amassment members, to another round of Shrine Spotlight! Have no idea what this is? No worries, check out the information here.

Please go and re-read that thread for the newest updates that have been marked with "NEW!" if you haven't yet.

That's right, it's another special edition! One Pages are the stars this time and as last time, any category can be entered as long as they're one page.

What are one pages? The entire site is on one page rather than separate pages that are linked. They can have anchor points for easy navigation and it doesn't matter the year too!

F.A.Q.
Does the Shrine need to be made by an Amassment Member? No. Any fansite/shrine you like can be nominated.

Does the shrine need to be listed in the Amassment directory to be nominated? No.

Can One-page shrines be nominated? Absolutely!

How many shrines can I nominate? Five at max now!

Can I nominate for myself? No, you cannot.

COIN BONUSES
For people who nominate shrines! And the earlier you nominate shrines, the more coins you will receive.

• If you nominate the first day nominations are open, you will receive 30 coins per URL you send us.

• For each day after the reward will be reduced by 1.

• If you nominate the day before nominations close, you will receive 1 coin per nomination.

It's a relatively short shrine, but it captivates me in the way its content looks appealing to those unfamiliar with the series as well as those who have already read the series: It lays out the beginning and the end of Kenshin's story, but omits the journey for the most part - the part that counts, but also the part that you'll want to read yourself if beginning and end, as presented, appeal to you.

I like the inclusion of the mangaka's remarks on the character (if only other series always had that luxury - they'd be such an interesting staple to shrines not just for insight, but also for further analysis), the name analysis under consideration of story elements, the brief comparison to the actual person the character is based on, mentions of Kenshin's idiosyncrasies, aaaand last but not least one of my favourite appearance sections I've seen: adorable colour scheme bars and hairstyle evolution analysis what (it's spot-on too).

It's striking how much was, I assume, intentionally left out of the shrine and what a great effect it has; as mentioned above, newcomers won't face as many spoilers, and to long-time readers, the things that do get mentioned automatically gain more signififance, something which is most striking in the appearance section (Kenshin's smile).

What a lovely tribute - I love it very much!
Both despair and ecstasy are part of the elements that compose a person.
