Building a one-page-wonder site for my local gaming shop. :D

Absol! Got a new layout and now working on the content to update it for Both X/Y and ORAS and making it more like Pidgeot. Just because I like the format.

Re: What site are you currently working on?
At 42 pages and (yikes!) 46,000 words, I am finally done writing content for my FF12 site.
...which means I have to finally stop avoiding making a layout. If, uh, anyone has any advice on how on earth to design a layout for a site with so much content I am all ears. I have a vague idea but there's a reason I've been putting this off for so long.
tbh I'm kinda considering using Wordpress purely to be able to install a search bar, lmfao...

ARE YOU OKAY?
(stupid question...)
To answer your question: if you feel comfortable sharing the content outline, maybe I (or someone else) can take a stab at it?
Re: What site are you currently working on?
No but I am a giant nerd LMFAO
I could really use help, though. None of it's coded yet since I've been writing in Scrivener so I can't put it online, but if you've got time to lend a hand shoot me a PM and I'll show you what I've got?

Re: What site are you currently working on?
@Larissa: I was brainstorming a little about content-friendly designs and did a quick mockup of a style you might like for a content-heavy site. (It's MS-Paint-fantastic but I think I got across the point xD)
In this example, everything's suuuuper plain-looking, but basically, your site layout's particular flavor would come primarily from the background pattern, the site logo/icon at far left, and any other art you want to include on the far right. This would put the content literally at front and center, leaving the user without distraction as they read, but they could still appreciate the layout, too.
Also, the navbar at the top gets the links up out of the way--this bar could scroll with the user as well, depending on how long your pages are. This could be a Bootstrappy mobile-friendly layout, or you could just do a fixed navbar with a fixed width and call it a day :P
I hope this helps you get jumpstarted on your layout! You always make such pretty designs, so I know it'll be good once you get an idea. ^_^

Re: What site are you currently working on?
Thank you, Robin! That does help
I actually have a design in progress now that has a header image, and I was planning on using some backgrounds to keep everything visually interesting. Most of my pages are around 1000 words in length so a lot of my struggle has come from figuring out how to keep the focus and interest on the content while still being easy on the eyes.
I just need to figure out how to put all of my ideas together into a workable design, haha. This site has been such a process.
