Re: Currently watching....?

Hooray PSYCHO-PASS debuts tonight. Gotta get me sum of that deep I.G. x Urobutch.

Err, actually watching, well, re-watching the first few Tonde Buurin episodes. DVD quality episodes have started being subbed, yay! 90s magical girls are where it's at, yo. :inlove:

Re: Paperback Marathon

What a fun idea~! I'm not sure if I'll have time to participate, but I'll definitely mull it over. ^^

Re: Frankenstein

Shiroi, certainly! I wasn't discounting it as a science fiction novel. More that I define it as horror (in genre, not defining between horror and terror, obviously). I used the catch all of "horror." For clarification I view horror as being something that plays into the primal fears of th...

Re: Currently watching....?

I saw a bit of Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun and yeah, it reminded me of why I dropped the manga. Yeah I'm afraid it's not a keeper, that series. I've also watched the first BTOOOM! episode and lololol just as shithouse as the manga. Umm first K episode looked as lovely as the trailers implied, but I doub...

Re: Frankenstein

Hmm, maybe not the first ever Sci-Fi novel, but there were definitely some very interesting points. I think what it really lacks is the explanation of what would truly be "scientific." From what I've noticed Sci-Fi relies a lot heavier on the explanation of how and why things work. Techni...

Re: Updates

Adding on to this because right now I am working on a project that is a single site, but with many smaller character dedications under its umbrella and I want to say that I was missing this. I was really missing the ability to have an ongoing project in which each part is still a finished thing. *t...

Re: Currently watching....?

You're looking too much on the outside of her character. She might be physically indestructible but her persona is much more expansive than just being an immortal. There's a lot more to her than that and she doesn't take away from the show at all. Depending on the immortal, they're more often priso...

Re: Currently watching....?

I don't like how she's so indestructible. Immortal characters take away from the series IMO. If it overlaps then that means the hopes of an independent/different series Geass style is gone. D: Oh well I have other series I could watch. After watching the first episode I feel it is certainly trying ...

Re: Classic Genre

Most old "classics" bore me to death so I don't bother. I mostly read modern fiction. Each to their own in terms of reading preference, but not all classic literature is old and old books certainly don't have a monopoly on being dull. You can find great books in a myriad of eras and cultu...
