Re: Tweeking Bellabuffs

Ninja links needs a database setting up, which is why I don't want to use it, as I can only have so many. Plus, I've had difficulty installing databases before when the database isn't installed via softaculous.

Tweeking Bellabuffs

I am wanting to use bellabuffs in a website directory and I'd like to know how to change the www link to show a site's url, instead of just www, and I'd also like to add an image button field to it so that sites can display one of their link buttons/codes. Could someone give me some advise, please? ...

Re: Content Fonts

I only use what I term 'fancy fonts' for headers, and links. For main blocks of text, I tend to use Arial, Tahoma, Trebuchet MS and Verdana for the main body of text. (There are probably others which are similar which I sometimes use, but these are the ones off the top of my head.) What I don't like...

A few changes to this layout

When I did this layout, it was on a netbook, (which meant the screen was very small) and the entire layout filled the screen with no problem. I am wanting to tweak it a little so that the navigation div is further to the right, the content div's width is extended so that it doesn't over shoot the ba...

Re: Script suitable for fan fiction

Thanks. It works now. I used an rp solo to test it. I'll make a demo site now to learn how to structure it. BellaBuffs comes with the page structure intact, so that was causing some confusion. (It has all the pages done for you and all you need to do really is stick your layout around all the php co...

Re: Script suitable for fan fiction

This is what I have so far. I get an error when I paste in the php update thing, so I assume that I'll have a similar problem with the rest. I'm not sure how to fix it.

Re: Script suitable for fan fiction

Do I need to use bootstrap because when I download it, it doesn't seem to do anything other than what I do already. Do you know of a site which uses cute news so that I can see how they've set it up?

Re: Script suitable for fan fiction

I've not used bootstrap before, but I have access to the software, and thanks. I used to use Netscape Composer for layouts years ago and then switched to using notepad but layouts with that are kept simple.

Re: Script suitable for fan fiction

I am working on a couple of Star Wars ones, and a Tolkien one.

Are there any good tutorials around which will help me make a demo site first, as I am unsure about it. (One of the things which confuses me is the log in page being index.php, as I'd probably end up naming the home page that.)

Re: Script suitable for fan fiction

I've installed cute news as an experiment in a sub-folder to play around with skinning and such. I think that is what I'm looking for. It doesn't appear to be that complicated at all. Thanks. I was looking through a lot of CMS scripts and a lot of them I didn't understand (or appeared to increase th...
