Re: Netflix Anime Recs?

So there's an anime series on Netflix right now that's got horror, sci-fi, and crime: Psychopass.

It's also my favorite anime to date, haha.

Re: Marvel or DC?

I'm more into the old-school DC, specifically Batman because I really love crime and mystery. While I did grow up with both Marvel and DC here and there, I never seriously got into anything until I picked up Batgirl with Cassandra Cain. There's been a few Asian American superheroes, like Jubilee fro...

Re: Avatar: TLOK

I finished watching the whole series not too long ago; I think one of the really high points were how well the villains were done. Amon in season 1 is definitely my favorite antagonist in the Avatar universe, followed by the Red Lotus in season 3. They were legitimately terrifying, but also complete...

Re: All Sites Are Not Created Equal

1. Antihero 2. Fair Verona 3. Awakening 4. Boundless 5. Infelicitas 6. Sen no Kotoba 7. Driven (#5-7 aren't even on my radar anymore. I'm not even sure why I'm linking them.) I would keep... 1. Antihero 2. Boundless 3. Fair Verona #1 is kind of obvious; I feel like this site kind of defines my prese...

Re: Oscar Wilde

Wilde is amazing! Like everyone here, Dorian is very good, but I really love The Importance of Being Earnest . I've read other things by him when I was in high school and had-- need --to read everything he wrote (so long ago!), but those two are the ones I remember particularly well. I don't usually...

John Green and other authors whose books tear your heart out

So... did anyone read The Fault in Our Stars and bawled their eyes out at the end? I've read some of his other stuff, which are all in the same 'John Green' voice, but are still pretty good nonetheless. Anyone have recs for good, heart-felt, borderline chick-lit, sometimes-woefully-sad books they'd ...

Re: Character death?

I think that, for me, a character's death isn't really important in moving the story line 'forward' or plot-related, but how the characters around him/her are affected from that point on. I'm more interested on a character's development and outlook on life afterwards because it mirrors our own perso...

Re: Resources masterpost

Thanks for this, by the way! I'm trying to get back into making a decent layout only to remember that I've forgotten where all of my resources are.

Re: Bringing offerings of Peace and Prosperity

Nice to meet you Stefi! What is the name of your awesome spirit animal? It is totally rocking the pirate hat! You have a beautiful collective. I specially enjoyed your character analysis and use of typography on the Squall shrine! I wanna say that it's name is Beowulf or something awesome like that...

Bringing offerings of Peace and Prosperity

Hi, again. I'm Stefi, owner of blizzara.org and former owner of many other dead links. I used to be active in the community in other places until I real life'd it, but it punched me in the stomach, so now I'm back here. Also, about 60% of what I say shouldn't be taken seriously. I spent a lot of tim...
